The PAPRSB IHS open day was held in conjunction with the celebration of Universiti Brunei Darussalam's (UBD) upcoming convocation for the year 2011.
Holding the Open Day for the first time, PAPRSB IHS chose 'Bring Your Heart to IHS' to commemorate the World Health Day and held for one day only.
In commemoration with the upcoming World Heart Day on September 26, the institute will be showcasing exhibitions, promotion of healthy diet as well as holding quizzes and talks.
The Open Day also offered prospective students the opportunity to gain an insight into life as a student at the institute.
Moreover, the IHS also displayed their teaching and research facilities, while medical, nursing and midwifery students showcased their healthcare skills.
During the Open Day, the students came from secondary schools and colleges, had the opportunity to tour the institute and the IHS promotion booth to learn more in depth on the health science programmes that are being offered. The students also attended a talk presented by the IHS students.
A free medical check-up and health advice booth also set up to offer medical consultancy throughout the day. Health talks by invited medical professional from Health Promotion Centre and light physical activities were also part of the Open Day activities.
