Universiti Brunei Darussalam will be organizing a Convo Run and Fun Cycling event on Sunday, 2 October 2011 as part of its Pesta Konvo 2011.
Participations are open to members of the public with a registration fee of $15 per person. Registered participants will be given a Convo Run and Fun Cycling T-Shirt, and a certificate of participation.
Those interested can only register one event either the Convo Run or the Fun Cycling.
The Convo Run will cover a distance of approximately 6km which begins and ends at the Core, UBD New Residential College. Whereas, the Fun Cycling route which covers an approximate distance of 35km will begin from the UNISSA Football Field car park at Jalan Pasar Baharu Gadong and cycle all the way to the Core UBD New Residential College.
The Convo Run will be divided into two categories – Male and Female. 1st place will receive $200, 1st runner up will get $150, and 2nd runner up will receive $100. However all top ten finishers will be given a ‘Top 10 finishers medal’. The Fun Cycling is a non-competitive event hence no prizes will be given.
Registration can be made at the 1st Floor Resource Room, Student Affairs Building UBD during office hours beginning from Monday, 19 September 2011. Registration form can also be obtained at the following outlets; PMUBD Shop, Gill Sports in Kiulap and Batu Bersurat, Mufakat Trading Co. in Gadong, Imperial Trade and Co. in Jalan Batu 1, and Triple Star Enterprise in Kiulap. Registration booth will also be opened during race day at both venues and will close at 6:45am.
