New members of the family

Friday, August 03, 2007 · 0 comments

Last Wednesday, we welcomed our new members of the family. Our acting dean gave a short briefing about the health science/medicine course followed by a few more lecturers. Professor Omar gave a good talk that day. He said "you must respect the teachers coz' of their knowledge. If you do not respect them, you will not learn from them. Respect does not mean fear."

Here are a few pictures of the new cohort. Who will survive till the end of these 2 weeks? We will find out soon. Plenty from JIS, a few from Malaysia and we got one new yorker!!! (A good looking one too..)

At the same time, next door, our exchanged students from Kagawa, Japan are having their clinical skills practical lead by our favourite nurse, Nik. They are having fun so far. I will post a few more pics after Kenny send me his.

Introduction

Hi. This blog is mainly for IM Family. So welcome!

Let me start by introducing myself. I joined the institute since it was born almost 6 years ago. I was a student back then and me and my former batch were the first 'product' of IM. It is a bit difficult at first when I didn't make it to medicine but I was lucky enough to be accepted back to the IM Family.

So enjoy your stay at IM. I will be updating you with news and highlights, and some in-focus segments.

About this blog

This blog is created based on life in PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, UBD. Formerly known as Institute of Medicine (IM) located at the small building next to the UBD Herbal Garden, it used to be just a small group and thus, we call ourselves as family, and now the family grows even much bigger!! So this blog is a home to all the family members to catch up with everyone with new fantabulous updates.

Hope you enjoy reading this blog and thank you for visiting.
